How do I change the wheel baring on my '88 Mercury Sable sedan?

I need to change the front wheel baring on my car. I have the big nut on the front of the tire, the caliper, the rotor, and the plate that is over the bolts the lug nuts go over off. I have no clue what else needs to come off or how to get it off. Can some one please help?How do I change the wheel baring on my '88 Mercury Sable sedan?you remove the tire, brake caliper, rotor. The rotor either comes off with the hub assembly or sits on the hub assembly. If the rotor is attached to the hub assembly , the wheel bearings are inside the hub. If not attached, remove the carter pin and the large nut, the nut will have a thin metal cover over it. once you remove the center nut just work the hub off by pulling it. if it does not come off easily, you may have bearings or fragments holding it in place. it may require the use of a rubber mallet taping from the back.
